i've seen this video before and i just don't believe that we would replace existing signs and other parts of our infrastructure that serve their purpose just fine and replace it with something that requires electricity.

How would you guys feel if they found a way to extend life? I've been looking at some experiments done and some parts of dna replication for a class and it seems possible, among other things. clearly not any time soon probably but i see other interesting applications for the method that I think would be used to extend life.

It would probably be only for the super wealthy since it would be mad skilla. Plus they would have to figure a way out to make your younger life longer because who wants to live longer when your an old geezer who cant even walk and shit

I think extending life is a terrible idea. The earth is overpopulated as it is. Just what we need, an addition to the social security burden that is quickly running out. Humans already live longer than ever before in history. I think there comes a point when we need to allow natural selection to play SOME role in our lives.

Windows in a house and other buildings are the biggest loss of heat. Just think of your bills due to energy wasted. Not very efficient but a good thought. Also you would break mad shit, look how people break iphones daily and then look at all of this.

Although, to speak to the real topic, a lot of this already exists. The publicly funded stuff would be a huge waste of money though. I also like how almost everything looked like an Apple product, haha. The book looks identical to the way Apple lays out their iBooks.

While I agree that finding an anti-aging cure or something would be problematic, humans will inevitably live longer in the future. Its not that bad of a thing. Think how little progress would be made in modern society if everyone still died of diarrhea at age 45.

we already passed the pinnacle of tvs with rear projection tvs from samsung. best quality and view ever they were like 4 grand tho, and big and heavy in the back and more expensive to build and ship than  the new lcd led shit so companies have gone backwards. its exactly the same as how we went backwards with glossy glass screens on laptops and netbooks that make your eyes hurt and reflect any sunlight right in your face so you damage your eyesight trying to read them.  rear projection tvs and call of duty 2 is the best you could ever imagine. all this wishlist stuff will be possible, but who gives a fuck. you cant even buy dvds these days that arent "digitally remastered" and fucked with. i wish people realized the whole slim sexy movent has led to worse products. i want to be able to watch the same movie i watched in the theater, not some glitsy digital imitation.

its like hey lets digitally remaster the mona lisa,
 sorry to rant but it pisses me off how kids these days dont realize how games like halo 1 and n64 super smash brothers were so much better than the shit that followed. its the same with tvs and dvds. whats the name of that southpark episode

Most, if not all, of those things already exist. You just have to be incredibly rich to be able to afford them. At the most, the prices of these things will come down over time, but considering the current distribution of wealth, I don't see them becoming remotely commonplace any time soon.

I know the analysts say its unlikely to happen, but didn't they say the same thing about Apple jumping in to the cell phone market?

Sure, it makes more sense just to keep upgrading their AppleTV line of products, but I just don't see it that way. Apple likes to have full control over the hardware and software available for their products. TV just seems like the next logical step in the line.
