So, I've got some unmounted Surface Double Times, 90mm waist, and need some bindings. Last year, I threw some Salomon z12's on my skis, and they did not last. They were total shit to be honest. I would like something light, yet durable. I was thinking about Look Pivot 14's? Maybe the PX12's? I ski around a 7-9 DIN depending on the conditions. And also, with a 90mm waist, would 90mm brakes be ok? are they meant to fit 90mm waisted skis? or would I need a 95-100mm brake? Sorry, ski binding noob I guess. I am open to any and all suggestions. Cheers!

Both the Marker Griffons and Jesters are pretty light and durable. You would probably be better on a Jester b/c if you're usually riding at 9 or 10 then that fits better I would say. Plus the Jesters are that much more durable.
I don't know too much about the looks or rossi's however...

pivot 14's are a good choice. they're durable and release very safe and reliably, and you'd be riding right in the middle of the din range which is perfect. i'd shy away from the jibs if you want them to last awhile.

fks/pivots for sure man. if you get the 90mm version then they will fit.

You could get away with the px12ti's. Cheap, bombproof, light. Nuff said.

When it comes to bindings, there are three categories:
Cheap
Light
Durable
You can choose two of those, but not three.
Cheap and light bindings are not durable. Durable and cheap bindings are not light.

marker makes good bindings, the jester and schizo are good marker bindings, the STH is also not a bad choice. I know for me personally I have dynastar troubles mounted on my park ski and my pow/ mess around ski is gonna be mounted with STH 12's. But next year I'll be picking up a pair of makers for sure.
