Which Goggle?

Any help? Looking for a good goggle, 200 range. But between these two, which do you guys think would be better? http://www.oakley.com/products/6796/25556 the seth morrison polarized crowbar or http://www.oakley.com/products/6715/25034 the Airbrake But, are there any other good non-oakleys in that range? thanks

I would go with the Airbrakes though if you plan to be skiing any time past 5 o'clock. You'll definitely want the persimmon lenses so you can see at night. Right now my only lens I have are black Iridium and grey polarized and they are horrible for night skiing. at night I just put my goggles up on my helmet which can be a bitch if their is real heavy snow or when taking speed into a jump.

I personally wouldn't get oakleys. Check out the Smith I/O, Electric 2.5, and Dragon APX. I would take all 3 of those goggles over any oakleys

hands down the best goggle you can get in that pricerange.

smith is nice but for the price there nothing special (though i do love my io's), and the quick attach clip makes them hard to wear on or under a helment,
oakley is nice but they can break, and thier fit is uncomfortable
giro uses carl zuis lenses, and put quality into their googles
i dont know muthc about dragon but they seem to be avrage, as for the ec2s i dont see how you can wear them with a helment if you have a small head

if your willing to spend the extra $$$ id go with zeal there the most fucking higy quality googles ever and this one has gps in it http://theawesomer.com/recon-zeal-transcend-goggles/26848/

that doesn't make any sense. smaller head = smaller helmet which means the huge goggles will look even goofier. i have a huge head and wear eg2s and they barely "fit" with my helmet.

the Smith I/O is the only goggle as far as im concerned. smith in general is just plain better than any other goggle ive used in my opinion. crowbars are pretty sick though

I like my friend's I/O's but my JP Auclair Crowbars are sweet for me. Got them for $50 too.
Heard very good things about the EG2's, though I've never tried them. They come up on whiskeymilitia once in a while though for super ridiculously cheap, so there's that.

I like like to have a lens that is easily interchangeable. On all three of the goggle I mentioned, it is very simple to replace the lens. I also like to have the huge field of view that they all provide. I used to wear oakleys a lot but the I/O APX and EG2.5 are more comfortable and suit my style better. I guess when it comes to goggles its all personal preference, thats just my take on it.

airbrake brah, every company has their own version of an i/o. i don't like them though, or oakley goggles in general. it's purely aesthetic, and most people tend to disagree with me, but i think they look too space aged. i like more simple looking goggles, ie. the i/os and apxs you mentioned.

ya, i think the air brakes are hideous so I didn't even mention them haha.

and to the guy that works for oakley, 260 for 3 lenses? the APX is 195 for 3 lenses. and looks way cooler in my opinion. and has the largest field of view of any goggle I've ever worn.

The lens quality from a 30 dollar goggle to lets say an oakley splice/airbrake is a huge difference with a cheap goggle all you will get is persimmon a base orange lens with a basic frame. When you spend quite a bit on goggles you will get better lenses with tints and coatings that allow for UV protection like sunglasses and the frames will be designed to fit your face better, last longer, be more comfortable, etc. You will also most likely get spherical lenses with a much wider field of view allowing you to see more of the mountain. And in the case of Airbrakes/Io's you will get two of those high quality lenses and features to easily swap between those lenses. Does that clear stuff up

i just bought Dragon apx. love the frameless design and swapping lenses is a breeze. picked em up for about $120. super comfortable look dope and have nothing bad to say about them at all. plus they come with 2 lenses a day and a night lens which is rad.
