so i got afterbangs this season. i know they should be mounted center. i have done a little research and what is the difference between core center and dead center? Which one should i use for afterbangs? +k for good responses
core center is the mid point of the ski core. So if you mearsure from tip to tip and find the center then thats the core center. If you balance the ski on one finger and find the point it balacnes, thats dead center or weight center. I usally mount to this as you know the swing weight will be the same in the tip and tail, but on some skis with big differnces in size between tip and tail it can give a weird position. For afterbangs go with whichever you want.
i think the punx have a longer tip to them, which i thought it was dead center. adn DEAD center for afterbangs. but the core is in the dead center so you dont have a problem.
I have mine mounted core center, the middle of my boots line up with the middle of the ski. But if you look at it the bindings don't look center mounted because the back part if my binding Is longer than the front. I go core center, but what Is the difference between the two?
