yea, i am not a supporter of bush, but there are some things that i disagree with with kerry. He will take away flak jackets from the army, and those vests save police and army people almost daily. also, he will drain lake powell, so i can't vote for him. that means no vegas or boating, which sux. anyone AGREE?

Where did you get this shit from? He's never said he was going to take body armor away from troops. And the past vote that was related to that idea was taken out of context. It's like me saying 'If hunting down Osama meant 1000 innocent babies dying, I'd say we shouldn't hunt down Osama', and you saying I'm against hunting down Osama. See the problem? If the money for the vests is taken away from important things, maybe he shouldn't vote for it. Maybe that money should come from ELSEWHERE. Brilliant, huh?

no, there is a enviornmentalist movement to drain lake powell, and restore the canyonlands that are now underwater. its headed up by (suprise suprise) the sierra club, and others. ive never heard it talked about as a campaign issue though.

You see, the US has something called DEMOCRACY:what this basically means, is that peoples opinions actually do mean something. No, Hawking, I'm saying he didn't vote against it just for the sake of it, there were reasons (ie: where the money was coming from) that prevented him from supporting it, and the smear campaign isn't giving you the whole story. And yeah, there are some places that are better and worse sources of funding for that sort of thing.

The money 86 billion over half of which was going to the troops, better equipment, healthcare, and higher combat pay was just gonna be slapped onto our national debt so it means an increase in taxes which I have no problem with at all as long as everyone pitches in(not tax a specific class).

yeah i dont really like the tax break for the rich. im not sure if it works. but them having more money to spend would get more taxes and more expensive cars have higher taxes so it might work. i dunno
