Whats a good iphone app to track your speed skiing?

BAsically looking for a good somewhat accurate iphone app that doesn't cost a shit load to track speeds on the slope. My buddy had one for an iphone 3 cant seem to find it but we hit like 69mph on it. Im pretty confident i can go faster than that now i just need to know.

Anynoe know of any app

Simply use a car GPS, reset the top speed and put it in your coat! We did 100 at jay peak with those 100$ race wax stick with a bunch of co-workers at the shop! Shit was GNARLY!

My car gps broke...i only use my iphone gps which doesn't track speed. Anyone aware of something for the iphone. Car gps is a little to bulky.

Anyways me and my friend hit 69 mph going down upper standard on stratton mountain

Ski Tracks - it measures speed, altitude, the number of runs, vertical, how long you've been skiing, how far you've skied,
that's the light version

the full version i think they actually track where you've been by gps. and you can see the runs youve been on

north american is definatly longer, standard is definatly steeper would be close

Thats not unbelievable at all. Downhill racers hit like 130 while making turns and launching 100 feet off of rollers.

but I have a speedometer app that tracks current and top speed as well as vertical traveled.

did 30 mph on a unicycle, fell and almost broke my elbow.
I think I used GPS essentials for that. Android masterrace here.

no rando kid on this site has gone 100k down their local mountain, with beat up park skis and a tall t around their knees, no matter how many other 15 year olds beleive them.

The full version is totally worth the $3 or whatever it is.

At Sun Valley, I hit 55mph on my twintips, and 49mph while I was practicing for skiercross on race skis.

use a range finder. find distance. time how long it takes you to travel that distance. distance divided by time.......even though that only gives you average speed. it will be more accurate than any app on an iphone

according to your profile, you live around or atleast should be familiar with 400 series highways.

next time youre on one, notice the speed limit, now notice how fast things are whizzing by, now try and think of a time you have ever been going that fast on your skis.

I'm gonna go ahead and say you're talking out your ass to try to sound like you know sooooo much about skiing/racing... (and i'm making the assumption that 100kph = 60mph)

not only have I been clocked in at over 60mph on skis, I did it on park skis, 184 ace of spades on a center mount. Some joey had a radar gun and I asked him to see how fast I could go. I stripped out of my baggy park gear and in a full race tuck hit 63mph. Oh, and the next run, 49mph switch. that was fucking nuts...

Yeah, it's fucking ludicrous speed, but it's not unattainable.

Well, I took my gps and kept it in my bag over a weekend at Bretton Woods. Bwoods is pretty flat but I hit 67 miles an hour. I find 100kph pretty reasonable.

Does ski tracks have trail map overlays? It would be cool if the had an app with trail maps that overlay gps.

I use jog tracker, it uses gps, tells me my speed, average time and total distance and keeps track of where you go.
