Whats the oldest/ most untouched european city?

i know the obvious answer is places like athens and rome but most of those cities look nothing like they do when they were built. what i mean is whats the oldest city in europe looks pretty much the same as it did when it was first settled and built

Something Mediterranean probably. Southern Italy, Greece, Albania, Turkey or an island.

Also could be something in the Balkan, Eastern-Europe.

Does it have to be a city? There are loads of un-touched smaller towns around the Mediterraneann that are pretty damn old.

Athens, in regards to how building rights. when i went there some chick told me all about how buildings cant go over a certain height to help preserve the view from the acropolis. IMO

I've heard that Prague is a very untouched city because it wasn't heavily affected by WW2. It's not as old as Ephesus or ruins like that, but it does have that leg up over much of Europe.

wheres that. and stop with the atlantis. atlantis was the santorini cataclysm when the whole island sank and hurled stadium sized boulders hundreds of miles. it was much bigger than krakatoa, most experts agree

Some parts, like the old town looks like it did 1000 years ago. Alos theres alot of churchs and a big cathedral that is 1000 years old. Also some other stuff.

All of them have basically been changed in some way.

Rothenburg ob der Tauber is apparently quite authentic in a 15th century sort of way.

Larger cities with intact city centers- Brugge as someone wrote above, Krakow, Prague, Amsterdam, Berne. . .

Smaller ones- there are lots of them all over, some of them fell into obscurity after some economic downfall, and managed to escape the numerous wars.

Not a city per se, but the temples of Malta are contemporary with the pyramids of Egypt.
