anyone from NS going to be there? i already bought up a three day pass. the initial pre-sale tickets already sold out, but more will be going on sale January 3rd.

if you have any interest in electronic music whatsoever it will be one of the greatest concert experiences of your life, guaranteed. i'll bump this thread as the dates get closer.

this definitely proves you've never been to a big rave.

trust me, the majority of girls there are FAR from "beat sluts", and if you think that don't go. more for the rest of us. :)


and for sure hot pocket! when the time gets closer we can all set something up. it would be really easy to get everyone together around a hotel pool one of the afternoons/evenings for an NS chill sesh.

Yeah right now it's looking like I can go next year, I just need to find a ride with somebody. My friends that want to go won't be 18 at the time and I don't feel like dropping the 900$ of gas by myself. So if anybody's planning on going next year and would be able to fit me it would be greatly appreciated. I live in Granby, CT btw, it's basically on the mass border for those of you who don't know.

want to go so damn bad... but vegas is just too far. and im planning on going to snowball then edc denver and global this summer. those will make up for it.

i'll be going for as long as i'm able to shuffle my way around the speedway. :)

i raged for a few hours the final day with a few guys from NY last year, living far away is not an excuse to miss this, we drove 18 hours each way for it last year

Movement Detroit beats this by a long shot n my opinion. Initial lineup was released yesterday, Jeff Mills, Carl Craig, Maya Jane Coles, and Steve Bug on the list among others. It all depends on what you like. If you live trance, "progressive" house, and more poppy dance music go to EDC. If you like techno, minimal, tech-house, house go to Movement.

Why not? I don't like the music at EDC, but love it at Movement. And the crowd at Movement will appreciate the music like I do. Biggest always doesn't mean best.

the sheer size difference alone, and the fact they are 2 completely different kind edm of festivals as you already pointed out. It would be like me comparing qlimax to ultra, they are completely different kind of events for completely different kinds of people (for the most part, i love minimal/techno, but i would never compare the 2)

I went last year, it was crazy. Make sure you go the first night though. First night was about 90k people and they were really all there for the event, the second day a ton of Mexicans showed up, and then on the third day everyone in Vegas knew about it and showed up. First day will be your easiest day, trust me.

When I went I got a villa at the Grand chateau with my buddies and we drove from the strip. Way faster and easier as long as someone can drive by 7 AM, because the shuttles fucking suck and you will wait 2 hours for a ride. Shouldnt be too hard consider all 5 of us did the 10 hour drive on shrooms. Seriously though the ticket was my graduation present and it was our graduation trip. I burnt 1000 in the 3 days.

I can tell you more if you are interested. Bottom line is drink water, stick with your homies, and brings alot of fucking money because vegas is expensive.

So I am by chance going to be in Vegas while EDC is going on. My girls dad got us a room in the MGM and were originally going their for vacation. I would love to go though and was wondering if there are still tickets available, if so how much, and are there single tickets available because thats probably all Im going to be able to afford?

tickets are sold out, check the EDC facebook page, craigslist and stubhub for single days.

oh and i'm not going anymore, sold my ticket a couple weeks ago. :(:(:(:(:(:(

I'll be in Vegas this weekend from Saturday noon til Sunday night. Staying at Planet Hollywood with a buddy who's in the WSOP. Not sure if another friend is getting us tickets (his h.s. friend is the lighting chick for Pretty Lights), but it should be a sick weekend regardless. Plus, Manny Pacquiao fight is Saturday night at MGM.


And while on the topic of dickwaving, Whistle 3 was first rave back in 1999. Held at some shady location in south Jersey with Q-Bert, Usual Suspects, Bad Company, Dieselboy, Derrick Carter, Doc Martin, Aquaviva, DJ Funk, X-Dream, DJ Micro, DJ Dan, and Dave Ralph...
