Nordica Hell and Back

Well, I finally got a chance to try out some skis at lovelands demo day (did anyone else go to that, 40 dollars for a lift ticket, an 11 dollar lunch, all the skis you want, and a beer!) and I really liked the Hell and Back.  The only problem is it is November so I couldn't test the versatility of the skis.  Does anyone know how these handle in other terrain such as cliffs, high speed big mountain, moguls...

Its so stupid Nordica gives the same name to a pair of skis and a pair of boots.. I was looking for info on the boot..

I agree its pretty ridiculous but does none have any information on these skis?  Is this not a popular ski?  should i start looking at other models that fit my 95-100mm underfoot needs?

its brand new this year along with their entire hall and back series. over all its an enforcer without metal and lighter core. great ski for touring, but also very good on hardpack, pow, crud and so on. its a really nice one ski quiver for the east, along with a great touring ski. id say for all out charging, or limited touring, stick with the enforcer.

damn wasnt finished....ive skied the enforcer and will own it this year. absolutely and incredible ski. rips everything. they are fine in the bumps as long as you stay on top of them. cliffs....couldnt tell you, havent hit any yet with them. id say the H&B would be a more playfull without the metal, probably a touch softer, so it depends on what you want i guess. the H&B is way lighter than the enforcer with the I-Core and will be better for the longer tours, but will still rip everything. enforcer is pretty much a charging ski without a speed limit. more suited to resorts due to weight but not bad for shorter tours

Looking at nordicas website, it looks like the unleashed hell, hell and back, and steadfast are the three options.  I think the steadfast is to skinny for what im looking for but I might be able to step up to the unleashed but I still need a good mogul ski on top of a powder ski.  From my experience, it doesn't seem like these skis this fat perform to well in the moguls. What do you think?

If these skis had a sheet of metal in them they'd be fantastic. If your not a super aggressive skier they'll hold fine...especially when not on hard pack.

they do have a sheet of metal....its called the enforcer. even if you are aggressive the H&B is still a great ski, just more playful than the enforcer. its aimed for that sidecountry skier who wants resort performance in a low weight touring ski.


as far as the unleashed hell goes its the same ski as the patron dimension wise, just with the I-core. more geared towards the deeper day for sure. never skied the unleashed hell, but the patron is an incredible ski for its size. ill have that this year as well to round out my quiver. but if you can only choose one than id stick with the hell and back or enforcer. if you arent touring, id highly recommend the enforcer over the hell and back. both are going to be better in the bumps compared to the unleashed hell/patron unless you like a fatter ski.
