RIP Jamie Pierre

Ski in peace <3 atleast he got to spend his last minues doing what he loves the most

So sad, ski in peace Jamie.

When I saw High Life by TGR, I saw Pierre jump a house and rip apart a sled along side Dan Gardiner. Come 2006, I saw him huck 255ft or sheer Wyoming cliff face. The fallowing year, I saw Claim and McConkey's segment blew me away. After viewing these two segment, it was clear to me what I needed to do, I needed to move west and live life. Live where the snow is perfect and everything is possible. I will forever have my signed poster of that 255cliff with Pierre sending it signed in my room as well as forever remember McConkey running from automatic weapons in Seven Sunny Days and backflipping the tram-dock in Claim. Those segment have made me become who I am as a person today. I can honestly say that I never would have moved west and pursued my dreams to shred pow and gnarly terrain just like Pierre and McConkey. Each of them have provided me an image of what it is to have balls, what it means to live the dream, and what it means to express yourself through a sport.

for a guy who got a slew of hate for his backslaps and religious views, it sure is strange to see so much love pour out for Jamie now. That kind of pisses me off. Same with so many claiming he is thier inspiration. Would you have said this shit a week ago? I respected cause he held it down in the mountains sticking more airs than many gave credit for, on skis and board. Though I honestly didn't appreciate the zealot aspect that came about in his later years. Here in JH there were a ton of bumper stickers floating around after his world record huck reading: Jesus would have stuck it (with "245" in the background). [They later upped the height from to 245 to whatever it became]

My favorite Pierre seggy will always be from TGR's High Life. Really wish I could find that and embed.
