I dont know what reddit is... but like most modern web 2.0 community sites. A good example is stack overflow. This way whenever someone makes a disrespectful or inaccurate comment you can just down vote instead of trying to ^^^^^^respond. You could do like youtube and put the top 2 highest rated comments at the top.

ok well whats you point? All I'm saying this that its a feature that would improve usability and modernize the site.

Do you have a reason not to other than the fact that this isn't youtube?

yea,

shit should be kept in chronological order so replies to other people's comments make sense and there aren't stupid troll comments trying to get likes

Na i don't think you get it, Only the top 2 or so comments get put at the top, and under a section called 'top comments' or something. Everything is in chronological order (including the two comments that are also at the top)

I like this (or some variation) of this idea.

We've talked about it for a long time actually. Won't happen soon, but its definitely on our list of tweaks that would be cool to add.
