First day on my new Surface double times

Had a hard time getting used to softer and wider skies, but would recomend them to anyone.

AHHH That was mad weird watching you, you knew how to do like every trick you tried, but the skis made you move differently. You looked like a baby almost trying to figure everything out, relly funny to watch.

got the same set up! i definitely saw you up at key this weekend too. They do take a little getting used to but once you do they're a super super fun ride.

Haha i'm moving from 167 masterminds that were much to small for me to 180 double times which are a lot longer wider and stiffer.

Have a new pair of Surface double times sitting in my living room right now, just need a pair of bindings and I will be good.

Those models you have are from last year and the tails are softer than the tips, its weird at first but you get used to it. The new double times this year are stiffer and have the same flex on the nose and tail.

Did you say switching to a softer ski? I have the same year double times with px12s and they straight up don't have flex. What skis did you have before?

I had the 08 4FRNT TNK's.  I found them to be much stiffer than the Double times. maby because the double times have a slight early rise they feel softer to me?

Ah I see. My friend had 06 or 07 TNKs and they were noodles, weird. I just found out the DTs have an extruded base, shitty.

TBH bases in park don't matter that much unless you ski pipe or hit big jumps 247. For rails and jibbing which seemed like you did most who gives a shit

No they don't matter except for spring time shit snow, and all your friends are way gone because of slow bases. I wasn't expecting some race base, just something moderately quick. I'm not complaining though, going to be riding them on friday so I'll maybe post on here what I though of them

Rode them today. Pretty decent ski but they are so stiff.
I don't have enough time on them to fully decide if I like them or not. This also happened today...
