his story tugs at the heart, but it has nothing to do with "live simply so others can simply live" should have said something like "tell your mom nice things because one day she will die."

I think that it can be interpreted in the sense that he lived simply by making the decision to let her go instead of going through the pain to revive her so that she could simply live (/die) and not have to go through pain and such

I cant imagine having to make that decision.

I got from the video that you need to cherish the relationships that matter, mother, father, brother, sister, friends. Let them know you love them.

But damn, I dont know what I would do in that situation.

After watching this a couple of times I've come to a conclusion that I think makes sense. When one experiences something like this, it truly teaches them to appreciate the simple things in life. Helping the less fortunate, treating others with respect, letting family and friends know what they mean to you, and enjoying one's life to the fullest - these are the simple things. They are all easy, and require little effort. They also do not require money, abilities, or much effort - everyone can do them! It is important for one to do these simple things throughout their life, as it provides so much more to others around them.

Live simply so that others can simply live.

It seems to me to be another way of saying "pay it forward".

That's what it means to me.

damn, what a hard ass decision to make, id probably tell them to try and revive my mom, just cause shes a hardass, and would probably rather fight to live in pain, than die in peace. im the same way.

anyway, good video, and i think i get what he means by "live simply so others can simply live" i think people are interpreting it in the wrong way. i think by live simply, it means to give just as much focus to the little things, telling your family and friends how much you mean to them, helping people, focusing on how important the little acts are, because they are just as important. and by "so others can simply live" i think it means that the little things, the little acts of kindness, help and greatfulness, are an important part of your peers lives, just as important as anything else, people need to know that others are thinking of them and care for them. so by living simply,(focusing on the simple little things) you are helping others live (bringing people a very important aspect of life)

maybe im wrong but thats what i got.

I don't think it had anything to do with that. I think you're just grasping to try to make it apply.



Great video though. Really good message to think about. There are people around you everyday that you love. How often do you tell them that? Because honestly it fucking sucks when somebody close to you dies, and it sucks even worse when you have regrets.

Make the most of everyday, don't be afraid to tell people you love them. We have a limited time here, just renting space, make it count.
