i think it goes back to the whole "nice guy / bad guy" image. girls think they want the bad ass who doesn't give a fuck and plays by his own rules until they're with him and get treated like shit. then it's about more than just sex appeal.

generalizations are generalized, but it seems to be sort of the way it goes. fuck the bad boy, marry the nice guy.
