some little shit pm'ed me earlier today and was like "all you Connecticut skiers are the same rich suburban white kids who ski at the same mountains in vermont" and i was like wat
well, you can easily make assumptions about someone just by watching the way they present themselves. how do they dress, and how do they approach you, or act when you approach them? while i agree it's wrong to judge people, human nature fascinates me, and i do love when someone can surprise me. i work in a store, so i met people allllll the time, and it's cool, funny, and weird. weird to see how some people fit themselves perfectly into stereotypes as well.
First impressions, if they are comfortable. Nothing I hate more than meeting someone and having to hear them talk about how cool they are (or how good they are at something, or who they know). I don't care if you're a big deal in whatever you do...
Once someone becomes my friend, I respect loyalty and honesty. If you can't be honest (as simple as being somewhere on time, or not lying about unimportant shit), how can I trust you?
I'd say loyalty would be the last stage. By the time I have known someone for long enough to really know the person, I expect a certain loyalty towards me. A good example of what I mean by that would be a question of honor: If a friend ties (or succeeds) to fool around with my girlfriend, or manipulates situations to override seniority to steel a job from me, or something as simple as steels something from me... they are not loyal towards our friendship.
From what they say, and what they do. If people are honest and do what they say I respect that. If they are all just talk.... then we probably wont be friends.
Not really funny, since my greatest friend actually has a medical problem that causes her to be unable to loose weight, and slowly kills her organs off. Oh and add that along with the fact that she cant even keep food down, and she only has a few more years shes expected to live.
