Odd Future is absolutely nothing like Wu-Tang at all, Wu-Tang represents all the things that OF is NOT about. Old rappers, old money, record labels, etc etc. Obviously Odd Future is about to change the music industry in some way, but they're not Wu-Tang.
Exactly, dumb shits who dont even listen to music just comparing publicity. It's the same people who are saying Mac Miller is the new Eminem, Wiz is the new Lil Wayne, shit like that.
if you think odd future could ever be half as good as the wu, go listen to some beats. the rza is a gat damn genius. if i had to listen to a full album of OF instrumentals, i'd probably off myself. i really didn't intend for that to come off so harsh, i actually like OF. i just hate it when people mention these established heavy-hitters in the context of a group of skater kids who have 3-4 albums to their name.
i was only referring to their big ones (bastard, goblin, radicals, earl, maybe blackendwhite). i listen to them a decent amount, though not fanboy status, but i still can't name any solo songs from mike g, left brain, domo, etc. i kind of lumped these into the came category as u-god, masta killa, or cappadonna. if you go by all of the affiliates there are hundreds of wu-tang albums out, but only 15-20 are really noteworthy
nah dude that wasn't a freestyle, that was a cover. harharhar
you're a fucking idiot. pretty hard to flow to a garbage beat, plus the verse Meth spit was fire.
The only reason people compare OF to Wu-Tang is because they are both a collective of rappers. Seeing as there aren't that many groups similar in structure to them, and that they have some common listeners, they inevitably get compared when they really don't have a lot in common.
Yesterday, in an interview with Soul Culture, UK, Method Man stated, “that’s what media does, they compare s--- … They always gotta compare something to something, to give you a scale, so to speak. If I was Odd Future, I wouldn’t want to be compared to anybody.”
You can't compare the Clan to a bunch of new rappers products of today's society, you guys are just dirtying the name of one of the biggest pillar of hip-hop culture.
