I know there is a thread for a pc platoon, so I figured why not make a newschoolers platoon for the 360? Searchbarred and couldn't find anything so here is the one I made:

Everyone in this thread apply to the platoon, and post your gamertag. I know a few people on battlelog that used different names than their gamertag so you can't send them friend requests.

I'll be on later if anybody wants to get some squads going. We've got 12 on the platoon right now.

theyre both awesome for different reasons. battlefield is more realistic and strategic, with destructible environments, vehicles like jets (awesome) and more realistic recoil and shit, it's actually hard to shoot people sometimes

COD is more arcadey, fast, run and gun style play, with less recoil and it's waaay easier to shoot people on tough shots

i haven't played either yet, but from the past, bf has always been a little more tactical. i've had some awesome times running around as a support class or medic. in cod, it's all about your K:D ratio. and then you mouth off about how good your game was. i think cod is probably more competitive and spammy (run, dropshot, run, quickscope, run) whereas battlefield has lots of old guys and people who don't really care just gaming for kicks. shit my dad has played bf with friends from work. can't say he's ever played cod..

overall i'd say bf is less boring. play the squad game, do some support, grab a chopper, go back to run/gun. you can have fun with it all. cod is really just run and kill. use the overpowered gun / perk combo, circle the map the whole game, know the key spots that people camp or spawn at, and go. i've had a lot of fun with it in the past, cod has lost its value for me. just more of the same.
