@WillStart
i'm not going to quote that whole post, because it is long. you're totally right, when you said that you had "seen supreme designs" i thought that was a suggestion that you didn't own any of their actual clothes. my mistake, i shouldn't have made that assumption. i apologize for making judgements when i clearly don't know a thing about you. i do think it's important to note that the cost of producing clothes is usually more based on the materials and process of production than colors/patterns on the material.
i also think it is a bit ridiculous to say that supreme doesn't spend their as much money on their production process. maybe i'm just a bit ignant when it comes to jiberish's process, but i can't name a single person who has made designs for them. on the other hand, i'd think it would be pretty expensive for preme to hire artists like KAWS, Futura, and Terry Richardson to design their graphics. even more expensive when you consider frequent shoe collabs nike, vans, and clarks, as well as other big brands like playboy, the north face, budweiser, and hennessy. finally, photoshoots with celebs like Lou Reed, Ghostface and Raekwon, Lady Gaga, and Elmo probably also run up a bill. just from that perspective, i think they spend a lot more money on production than jiberish does on their collars with level 1 and ns.
not that it matters, but just to note: i'm not a supreme fanboy. i only own a few older pieces from them. however, i do respect the brand and find it a bit upsetting that it's getting trashed, especially given that nearly none of these kids had even heard of it before OF blew up.
