Okay boys and girls, I know this subject is touchy. I for one support the police, they have a tough occupation. Some on this site and more importantly around the country (US because I live here) believe the police are just as bad if not worse then criminals. Well, I think your dead wrong. Yes some cops are bad at heart we all know this. But most are just cautious about the situation, when a cop pulls up to u in the parking lot saying you need to leave, Its not because there being assholes. Its because maybe 2 nights beforehand there was a reported drug deal or other crime. And if u say "ohhh I'm just buying weed or have weed on me, the cop was an asshole for making me dispose of it, he didn't give me a ticket or take me in, but hes still an asshole" Yea well your a moron and lucky to get away with it. (there was a thread about that) police are told to uphold the laws of the country, and that they do. Next time your in a bad situation where you may need to call the cops think about it, they are there to help you and if we didn't need them, they wouldn't be around. We need them, be happy we have people willing to protect us.

Police suck balls. If they did what they were actually needed for, such as fighting crime, drugs, physical violence, etc, then I would jump on the bandwagon and say Thank You Police. However, driving home half an hour ago I was pulled over. My crime? Talking on my cell phone. I was in no traffic, not speeding by even 1 MPH over the limit, and clearly in control of my vehicle. I'm respectful to the officer, provide license and registration, and expect to catch a break. I have never been pulled over before, have no record...first offense for something very small. Instead he comes back with a ticket. FUCK HIM. I now have to appear in court to fight this, using my valuable time. Fuck the police.

Why do I think that if I said I was caught smoking weed (not something I do) that your response would be different? Talking on a cell phone is a crime...ok...guess I'm a hardened criminal. My biggest problem with it is that there was no warning. For someone who has gone their entire life without a single traffic ticket or anything else, (and I'm no longer one of NS' younger members) a little common courtesy would be both reasonable and expected.

you seam to be lacking a certain level of intelligence that is required to have a conversation with other people.

I am not saying you are wrong, or you are lying. This is the part where I call you an idiot though. I understand that you deal with cops EVERY single day. I also understand that you are dealing with cops in a professional, occupational manner. I'm sure if my job involved dealing with police where we are equal (or, at least indifferent), it would be a pleasurable experience.

Unfortunately, and this is where you are failing, the rest of us DON'T have relations with police in such a manner. When we, the commoners, have dealings with the police, it is almost always in a situation where they are acting as the law. For me, the most common interaction I have with the police is when I am drinking in public. Considering the fact that in my opinion, the drinking in public law shouldn't even exist, I don't exactly abide by it. This of course means I have run ins with the law more often than I would like to admit for such acts. I am drifting from my point though, so I will move on.

What you need to understand is that a police officer might be nice to certain people at certain times, but that same cop can very well play a different role to a different group in different situations. I have had many, many friends get "fucked" by the police for simply being. Of course, I have also met a handful of cops that are actually cool, but that is neither here nor there.

So, if you could please get your head out of your ass and understand that your experience with the police as a professional has absolutely nothing to do with the experience of a civilian/cop encounter. They are nothing alike. Thank you.

I don't hate cops, I hate the power tripping fuckers that take it on "the rowdy teenagers" despite the fact of doing nothing illegal. If your going to be a dick to me, I'll be a dick to you.


Like it's been said before, 95% of the NS community doesn't deal with cops on a manner such as you claim. Most of us are on the wrong end of the stick getting smacked for petty crimes or in some instances where cops are just straight up dicks.

they dont really protect us, maybe 1% of the time they are doing things to protect the people but the rest of the time they are just enforcing bullshit laws, taking away our freedoms as much as they can, and taking in revenue. seriously, what kind of person does it take to set up a speed trap, where the limit drops 20 or 30 mph suddenly, and bust people for speeding all day? a complete fucking piece of shit ass hole.
they do more harm than good. like i said earlier, the one time i made the mistake of involving the cops when i really might have needed them, they showed up 30 minutes later, after everything had happened (luckily nothing too bad) and just tried to get people to press charges. but man im sure glad they will go out of their way to set up bullshit speed traps, write tickets for anything they possibly can, etc.. yet when someone could have actually gotten very seriously hurt, they just blow it off. shit your average citizen does a much better job of "policing" than most cops.

I just find it hilarious that your initial post was preaching how cops are so obsessed with speeding and other small crimes when they should be out looking for rapists, murderers, etc. and then you complain about a cop that doesn't take some high school kid very seriously because he wants to file a report about a small dent in his car

everybody hates the cops until you actually need them, what a shitty thankless job, sounds to me like you need to grow up

They're literally trained to try to fuck you out of your rights.

I don't see how that protects and serves you if they're deliberately trying to get around your rights a fuck with you.


I remember this one cop in high school came into health class when we were in the drug section. Talked about how he drank socially, was addicted to cigarettes, and fucked over plenty of kids lives for small amounts of weed. Again that was obviously protecting them and serving their best interests to fuck up their live.

The truth is a lot of people that become cops do it for the power and the respect.


I could go into so many fucking stories about cops fucking with me for no reason. Holding for as long as an hour, then getting pissed because I would let them search and giving me the most bullshit tickets just to make a few bucks.


Then there's the whole quota system. That's completely fucked.



Then occasionally you get a good cop.

coming back from hike and huck at loon in 08. Doing 60 in what i thought was a 55. Pass a rest area and see the cop jump in his car quick. Knew I had to have been well over. Slowed it down to about 56 knowing that if I slowed down a bunch I was def going to get a ticket. Cop followed me for a couple miles pulled me over. Asked me if I knew how fast I was going, I said yes. Find out the speed was 40, because it was a park preserve or something. Told the cop straight up I knew you were behind me I thought it was a 55. Ran my license everything came back clean like I said, no tickets everything all proper. Gave me a warning and told me to have a nice day. I did 40 through the rest of the 40 knowing what the speed limit was. He didn't need to give me a ticket to make me slow down.


Or the cop when me and DingChavez were heading down to myrtle. Hit a fucking truck drive shaft at 3am in Delaware. And blew the fucking wheel open. I called it in because cars were fucked up. cops were cool. We get the tire changed and realize the battery is now dead. So we have to wait for a couple hours for a patrol that comes through at 5 am that will be able to jump us. Out of nowhere a cop car pulls in behind us. Walks up to the window, we're wondering whats up.. Dude wanted to make sure we were alright. Went back to his car and got us some road flares so we wouldn't get hit by a truck.




But really generally have run into douche cops. And even the so called "decent ones" are generally pricks in the way they enforce bullshit laws for the sake of enforcing them.


Instead of setting up speed traps and seat belt checks to raise money through fines I mean "help with safety" they could actually be out there making a difference and going after the real criminals.


Shit needs to change. The status quo is fucked. People that say, zomg you should love all police officers and they have such a hard job and do such great work are fucking ignorant and lack knowledge/world experience.

I'm not sure what you just said, it didn't make all too much sense.  But you can't expect every single cop to be a detective and go around searching for criminals.  There are cops that respond to calls and they have to go enforce the law when that happens.  You can't expect every single cop in America to go after murderers and meth labs, because that would probably be counter-productive.  And stop complaining about cops just doing their jobs.  It makes you sound ignorant.  Their job is to enforce laws, so they are very generous if they let you slide after you break a law.  And doing that puts them at risk of losing their job.

You're correct, going after meth labs is extremely counter productive. Prohibition doesn't work.

Also I was unaware that the high and might police officer should have the right to come between me and my constitutional freedoms. The next time somebody I know get's they're life fucked over by a cop I'll make sure to tell them "he was just doing his job". = Brilliant.

They give out tickets for the purpose of meeting quotas and making money. That's bullshit.


Again wasn't a small fucking dent in the side of my car, It was a big fucking impact crater dent. Also in a town where there are no murders rapists or anything going on and he didn't even want to do his job. And smoking a cigar on school property while sitting in your car 20 feet away never even taking a real look, saying oh that's no big deal, that shit is whack.



If you could learn to read you'd realize that in this whole thread I've been saying I don't hate cops. you're just another assclown I described when I was talking about people who think that there are only 2 options to everything. If I don't like the way cops are rolling these days, I obviously am a punk kid that thinks we should get rid of all the cops so we can go around and break shit without getting hassled.



Maybe if they did they're fucking job and actually set an example, made a fucking attempt to "protect and serve" they would get a little more respect. I'm not going to respect somebody simply because they have a gun and a badge that says they can do whatever the fuck they want.

I actually like having constitutional rights.

my story:

My friends and i were out on a walk around 1 AM in my neighborhood smoking and stuff. After we were done we were walking back to my house and TWO cop cars pull up and stop us as we're turning into the driveway. Perfectly reasonable and a pretty nice guy. Why were there two cars though? Next, even though he knows we're walking back home (we were in my driveway), he wants to talk to my mom. Still reasonable, even though he clearly stated that it didn't appear we were under the influence of anything.  Here's where he broke the law. The man demanded that we let him into the house, which we did. A cop is not allowed to enter one's house unless given permission or he has a warrant. Next he proceeded to tell us that even though there isn't an established curfew, that he was right in enforcing one. cool story bro, but it showed how even the nice cops can abuse their power.

You are impossible to argue with shadynasty.  Not because you're intelligent, but because you just bring up the most ridiculous extremes to try to prove your ignorant point.  And then, when someone calls you out on being a huge hypocrit, you try to change things around by saying that nothing at all goes wrong in your town.  So all of that experience you have had with cops then becomes completely irrelevant to your argument, because you have obviously never experienced cops in a town where actual murderers and rapists are running around.  This last sentence is sarcastic by the way.

TV and movies have given people a false image of the police. If your car gets hit or something gets stolen, the individual cop who responds isn't going to sit there dusting for prints and trying to match them to his magical database of everyone's fingerprints. He's going to take information, then pass it on to someone else who's investigating a bunch of similar cases. Not all cops are detectives.


The majority of what police do is minor stuff that keeps society going. Ever sat in traffic due to a car accident or construction? You know who's job it is to keep things moving? A cop. Or say there's a big storm and branches fall, powers out and so on. The police are out there putting in 20 hour shifts, helping them restore power and reopen roads.




Just because you've had 1 interaction with a cop, and he was a dick because you were doing something illegal doesn't mean they're all like that.
