Fuckin eh everyone! Winter is here up in eastern BC. Toured up Roger's Pass on Sunday and skied a decent chute. Great stability, lots of friends and 2000ft of pow with a great base! Not a bad first day in my books.

My hill opens next weekend with 2 runs. One of those runs being the bunny hill.. And none of the snow is natural. At least I can go skiing!!!!

@ snowmaster - its about a 6.5km tour up to the top. really mellow going up connaught drainage and then you really climb at the end. we climbed, ate, skied, and got back to the car in 3.5hrs

@ surefacehoar - i believe it is called Cheops 2. Its the last north facing chute before Balu

They have snowboards that split into two and then work just like skis for the ascent.

Skied the trees on the other side of the valley this past weekend. Something like 5 feet of snow has fallen since you shot this.

Watched a slide run off Cheops. Came within a few hundred feet of the skin track by the second bridge.

TGR folk that don't like TGR because it's too old school so they come hangout with this young crowd of newschoolers.

It's like older people (40's-50's) married with kids go to clubs and think that they are 20 year olds.

Doug, I moved to Kicking Horse to get my tour on and work on guiding but seriously miss a nice soft park. Last weekend we went out and hit a couple hundred foot jib line on a snowy mountain road. Still learning tricks! I just ski!

Were you with Tim Grey by any chance? Sounds like his story too. I think they are saying more like 70-80cm fell since then and its all going on that surface hoar. tits deep though!
