I went and got fitted for some boots this past weekend and got some new il moros! so stoked! anyways, the boot fitter didn't know exactly what flex each tongue was. they came with B and C. I know one is stiffer, and one is much more flexy, but i was just wondering if any of you knew the actual flex of them? like 130 for C or whatever. I just want it so i can compare it to my old boots. and does anybody have any recommendations on which to use? +k to help! thanks guys
the "B" tongue is stiffer.
there is no way a "C" tongue is 130. that tongue comes on most of the lower end krypton mens boots and most of the womens boots
sorry i was just throwing out an example saying i wanted a number/value for whatever the flex is so i could compare them. i couldn't remember which one was the stiffer and which wass the softer. i have the stiffer one in my boot right now. i was just looking for the numbers though
I don't think there's numbers, there might be comparable tongues that have numbers. but last i heard two tongues might have the same flex number and still feel different.
also just got the il moros. i cant really put a definite number on the flex depending on the tongue, the dalbellos have so many different ways to customize its hard to call what one tongue's flex is, but i i had to i would say the C tongue is about a 90-100 and the B is about a 110-120. this also varies depending on whether you have the wings in the cuff of the boot too
do you really put the wings inside the cuff? i didn't think they did that...is changing the tongues as easy as unscrewing that thing? and what tongue do you guys recommend?
yeah can put the wings in to stiffen up the boot. i have only been using the C tongue so far, but once some more stuff opens up i will definitely change to the B and probably put in the wings too. changing the tongue is really simple, only takes a couple minutes. just unscrew the bolt and switch them out
