For various reasons that I'm not going to go into with great depth(inb4 political shitstorm) I've decided I want to move my money from my bank to a credit union. Not that I really believe my 749.65$ is going to be particularly missed. My decision is more based on what a credit union can do for me and I feel safer having my money in a place where they aren't making risky investment decisions. Also it's kinda my way of saying fuck you to the people that got us into this mess in the first place.
Anyways, I heard about a website called simple.com that gives you all the services you bank offers(checking card, online services, etc), for free and through your credit union. You guys should check it out if your interested in switching. Its on an invite only basis at this point, but it will open to the public soon.
