basically, if you have the cube root of X, and i want to shift it left like, 10 units, is the equation


X^((1/3)+10)?


because i enter that on my calculator and it like completely wrecks it



so ns, its a cube root, and i want to shift it left by 10 units, whats the equation?

it should be x^(1/3+10)

the plus ten in the exponent

x^(1/3)+10 would shift it up 10

^ you guys both put in the same thing. OP just put parenthesis around the 1/3, but you don't need them. Order of operations bro.

You guys should get the same graph...

f(x)=(^3√x)+10

i put it in my calculator and it didn't work

however it should be f(x)=(cuberoot) of (x+10)

^plug that in and it works

f(x)=3√(x+10)

I checked wolfram and x^1/3 is a completely diff graph than x^1/3+10 because thats like saying x^4/3

If you want to shift it left, the +10 goes with the X rather than the exponent.

y=(x+10)^(1/3)
