Replying to STL's vs Chronics

i searched and found one thread related to these two skis, so i just wanted to get a lil more info. i talked to a friend who rode the STLs at high north and he said he really liked them a lot, and from what i hear they are very good bc ski. the side cuts are about even, but the STLs tips are a lil higher, which id assume is for pow

all that ive heard about the chronics was from people on here, and it seems that they are a really good park only ski

im skiing in the midwest so i dont really need a bc ski, which is why im leaning more towards the chronics.

the other question is whats the reliability on both of these skis, being that theyre the first year for each, i dont want to have to send them back and miss valuable time on the slopes

im 6 even, 160, so i was lookin at 183 STLs and the 177 Chronics. hopefully i wont just sound like every other 'what ski is better' post cuz i at least researched some
