When you tin a cars window, your only applying the tint film to one side right? So I'd assume if you only tinted one side of the goggle, it would still work.
If you thinking that really hot water and and thin plastic and foam is a bad idea, yeah it is. I wouldnt recomend dying any goggles that use a two piece lens. Likley to get damaged by the hot water.
Your logic is slightly flawed. A window tint is a single pane and uses a film not a water based dye.
I really don't think this will work at all. Either it will deform the lens, or the dye will not go on evenly due to some of it seeping through the foam between the lenses.
