Dark Grey Lens

Hey I need a new oakley lens for my goggles and I came across the dark gray lens its cheaper then all the other goggles can anyone explain why?
Also can anyone explain a little bit about what light condition you would use this goggle in (the oakley websites  lens comparison is shit.)


And dont really give a fuck if its a repost.

its cheaper because there is no iridium on it , and its not polarised ,

I've just bought crowbars with that lens. It looks pretty decent I think. However, I haven't taken them out on the snow/in the sun yet, I'm assuming they'll be for bright conditions so I'm gonna pick myself up a pair of persimmon lens' as well soon.

I hear the hi-yellow is a good all round lens? Not sure if I'm making that up or not.. It's expensive though.

I do have another goggle with a low light lens.
I just scratched My high light lens so that is what i'm looking for.

i had fire ird on my old crowbars, and now have dark grey on my airbrakes, i perfered the fire ird
havent had a whole lot of time with the dark grey, but the fire just seemed nicer

not at all , iridium mostly reduces glare , doesn't affect the durability and all ,

yea it's pretty good , but the yellow one ( not hi yellow just yellow ) sucks mad di** as an all around lens . persimmon is the best all around lens IMO

hey yo becky!!!

anyways, the dark grey lens is bomb! specifically for super sunny days not to great on the lower light days! also, idk why its cheaper but its prolly my most favorite lens i have...it is darker than the polarized lens too

and to the kid above this post, yes if you want to murder out your crowbars this is the lens you want...

I used my dark grey lenses as a night lens all last season. Depending on how good your resort's lighting is, theses lenses will be absolutely prefect for you. They can handle bright sunny days and you can still see perfectly fine at night too. They're awesome

anyone know if the fire lens is a all around lens?

i mostly night ski and i wonder if the fire lens would work even if its not sunny

Defiantly not. It can be done but I would not recommend the lens unless you have another one.

Get the ruby clear. Cannot stress enough how much this lens fucking rules. You can use it in litterally any condition, too bad I cracked mine bad when I got a concussion last season:( well i'm murdering out my c bars for this season anyway, and going dark grey which is also good all around.

Some good all around oakley lenses= pink iridium, blue iridium, persimmon, HI persimmon, vr28, vr50 pink, etc.

dark grey lenses are the shit get them for sure. they are cheaper because they dont have iridium
