ha i threw in my COD4 disk not too long ago and got absolutely rocked. pretty sure i had like a 1:4 ratio in the couple games i had. safe to say my COD glory days are over...but at least we still have the memories right? ;) and i can still yell at all the thirteen year olds via the internet with idle threats of me killing their entire family if they continue talking trash.

i played it like 2 months ago and slayed 2 games, one with the mp5 red dot and the other with the m40a3 acog. that will forever be the best cod. i was looking for the disk the other day but i realized i didn't bring it to england with me

Kill confirmed is awesome, if you can find a spot to snipe you can knock a enemy down and just use his tags as bait so great.


Also did anyone here do the call of duty elite? I won mine in a raffle at best buy on the midnight release so I didnt have to pay 50 bucks....but I guess infinity ward is saying that over 9 months they will release 20 pieces of downloadable content and with elite you already have it paid for so I guess thats sweet.


I've read a lot of hating on the xbox forums, of course its going to happen. People are always complaining about how its not different or anything. Well I started playing Call of Duty in 2003 with the very first CoD on PC (after my clan in Delta Force 2 switched to it). For the next 4 years all it was, was world war 2 games it was basically the same game going back and forth between releases by infinity ward and treyarch. Then in 2007 they released CoD4, personally this is my favorite game of all time, it was new, different, and extremely fun. Now MW3 was just released almost exactly 5 years after CoD4...and people are complaining about how its not different there is nothing new and so on. So I'm thinking MW3 will be the last one of this game and Infinity Ward will give everyone something completely new. But honestly can you blame them? This game sells, and MW3 will hold all the records, people enjoy the game and that's all there is to it...in the end it really doesn't matter if 10 people hate cause it didn't change, because 20 people just bought their first CoD game.


That was probably just a rant and made no sense, sorry!

ya if bf3 was so good why does no one on my friends list play it??

I bought it and so did a few other people then as soon as mw3 came out thats all that was on my friends list. I am a nerd play games with nerds have about 85 friend nerds on xbox live and they are allllll playing mw3.. i guess all of them just dont know whats uppppp... also black ops before mw3 came out had like 1.4 million on playing... i highly doubt bf3 has 1.4 million people on XBOX.

i had battlefield for a week and played it like 4 times and as soon as mw3 came out i logged 3 hours the first day and 4 hours the second day. same with all of my friends on live too

except some kid from my dorm played on my account today for 2 hours and dropped my k:d from 1.76 to 1.01. never ever put your xbox on auto sign in when noobs can potentially use it

Just got my copy today. im not super into gaming, I could care less about stats, kd, or any of that bullshit. I like to play games and have fun whether I'm winning or losing. needless to say I was impressed and I don't really understand why everyone is saying it's the same game as mw2. to me it's not, the gameplay is faster and smoother in my opinion. maybe it's just me but I feel like it's easier to kill people on non-hardcore too. I'm really liking all the little things too - the support killstreaks, survival mode, weapons proficiencies, and most of all KILL CONFIRM! best game mode ever. totally new aspect of TDM. they also only spawn on small maps too so games are always realllllyyyy fun.

the only thing I can complain about is the fucking red dot sights. they're way to big on the screen. I find it really distracting...so I've been going with iron sights and I think I'll stick with it.

if anything it's everything mw2 had with an overall big improvement in gameplay and a fuckload of cool shit added. it's a win. treyarch can lick my nuts, black ops sucked.

except i dont own mw3 but played it at a friends for hours so same thing

mw3 is just smoother and more fun than mw2 and has better maps (unless your a sniping, OMG!!!! my k:d down!!!, fucking competitive video gaming loser)

favorite thing by far, the support kill streaks. Even if you suck at getting a regular kill streak, you can have an ongoing running kill streak that lasts thru death. Makes things fun even if your sucking one game.

MW3 isnt realistic whatsoever. BF3 you can fly a jet!!!!!!! and drive tanks and there isnt such thing as camping really. if someone is sitting in the corner of a building, you blow it up, simple as that. in cod you have to get them with a shotgun and dropshot them. COD just isnt good anymore i think. BF3 is what COD isnt and that is way better IMO

traded in gears for MW3 today.

gotta say, BF3>MW3 for me personally. but if you're a fan of any of the previous COD games this is a must buy. feels exactly like a COD4 and MW2 with more options and updates.

I actually feel like playing black ops helped me. I got about as good as you can at quick scoping with the shitty black ops settings. Now playing mw3 im like boom you dead, boom youz dead.

well realistically if someone is sitting in the corner of a building you probably wouldnt know they are there since realistically we dont have a mad with a red dot on in the corner of our vision. so realistically we cant just go around blowing the sides of buildings off trying to kill someone. realistically we would have to go search from building to building with a shotgun or small arms of some sort.

but realistically this is just a video game.

I did hate MW2. I wanted to hate MW3. I wanted BF3 to be god's gift to gaming.

After half an hour of BF3 multiplayer I put the controller down and went and bought MW3. BF is too slow paced, too tactical (never thought I'd say that) and too boring. You spend most of your time covering huge distances. Also the graphics are shit compared to MW3 and the whole interface just feels clumsy. I couldn't be bothered spending what seems like days just to understand what the fuck is going on in that game. Definitely the nerd friendly version out of the two games.

I cannot name any issues with MW3 yet. No unbalanced guns, no campers, no noob tubers, nothing. You just get in there, run around and spam cunts. it's fast paced, and super enjoyable.

All the BF3 kids ragging on MW3 are elitists who wanted so dearly to be different that they're standing by their shit game just so they're not grouped with MW3 players.

Wow, that post right there just proved you to be special ed, if you can't figure out BF3 you must be mentally ill. And the kids who like BF3 dont want so dearly to be different, just something a little different then your typical run in shoot everything type of game.


But I really dont want to go too in depth with someone who claims it takes "what feels like days" to understand BF3, it just proves your less intelligent is all.

Harder to be dirty at quick scoping than using you're little automatic. If it was easy more people would do it. I don't need to camp. I'll just run down the road and shoot you in the fucking face.

Do you mean the red reticle part, or the actual piece of metal on your gun? If you don't like the big red reticles, when you equip your red dot select "none" for reticle and you just get the tiny little red dot.


On another note: has anyone else been whoring the support class? UAV, stealth bomber, EMP is amazing in Domination. Sometimes I'll switch it up and throw down some flak jackets to help out my teammates. I'm loving the fact that I don't need to be careful and can run wild trying to cap flags while still earning streaks.

If you want a great Call of Duty game, go out and buy COD4. Best game I've ever played. Up until now I've played most COD games. Just picked up Battlefield 3 to switch things up a little.

What I have to say is... they are two very different games. COD is way more fast paced, running around killing people, which is dope. Battlefield requires a lot more skill (In my opinion). Sure quick-scoping is fun in COD, but it's much more rewarding to get a good sniper kill in BF3 when you have to lead your shots.
The differences (positive & negative) can be debated for hours, but that's a waste of time.
All in all, it's just preference.

Pretty bad game. Biggest issue are the maps. FYI I have played every Cod since the 2nd. Save your money for Skyrim/Assasins Creed/BF3.

I'd actually argue BF3 requires teamwork and a true understanding of the roles of each class. COD requires twitch-based skill. And quickscoping took skill in the cod4 days. Both are fun though. Completely agree that the argument is pointless.
