I have been riding the Dynafit Stoke for a little while (since last dec.) its super light and still like 106 underfoot and can charge arround fairly good.
Nice and light for a fat ski, and the rocker works out so it doesn't really affect skinning, and helps for breaking trail, and then is super fun on the way down.
I recommend something light of course, but also nothing super fat or with a ton of rocker. Granted I'm gettin old and I don't send it very big, but I have been skiing the backcountry for many years on a pair of K2 Coombas, and I love them. They work very well in all conditions, which of course is what your going to encounter on any backcountry tour. I'm pretty sure K2 still makes virtually the same ski and but it is now called the Coomback. My biggest recommendation would to be to invest in a good touring boot as well, you can shed a ton more weight and the added flex makes the climbing a lot more enjoyable.
it's all relative man, one ski might be create for the ride up or one might be shit for the ride down. It all depends on a certain aspect of what you're looking for and what you've tried and like, with the combination of boot's and bindings.
