I believe stand up straight then bend your elbows 90 degrees and get a pole that reaches your hand.(might me wrong?) Although most kids on this site including me have poles way shorter then that. Its just personal preference

This. You usually flip the pole upside down and grab under the basket. If your riding inbounds, going 2-15 cm shorter than this is a good call. If your riding bc (skinning) then go with this length for sure.

pole upside down, and when your hand is under the basket, your arm should be at 90 degrees. thats good for like backcountry, but for normal riding (slackcountry, everyday skiing), i normally go like 2 inches shorter for normal riding and like 9 for park poles

my poles are three feet long. i can put them on top of each other, and they are the same height as me.
its really personal preference.
