Pretty sure the idea is more to make a midi controller for guitarists, so guitarists can control synths and other stuff without having to use a midi keyboard, making it a lot more comfortable for them. I don't think its supposed to replace a regular guitar. Think about the cool stuff guitarists could do with a touchscreen and really comfortable note control, you could program all sorts of fun stuff into it.

Touchscreens are shit compared to strings when it comes to nuanced playing. Moog already made the Moog Guitar, which actually uses string vibration/acoustics as part of its synthesis. No stupid midi pickups either; it's the real deal. Too bad it costs over $3k. I would totally buy one if it were half the price.
