Either way post-hardcore is good too, minus A Day to Remember, at least their new stuff.....

first off adtr is not hardcore their more punk. Not sure what your looking for so I listed bands from all hardcore styles

Slipknot (if you can get over the masks and stereotypes)

what aspects are the same to structures? I have a very wide taste when it comes to music, i listen to everything from powerviolence to poppunk and everything in between, and when you say something so broad you gotta back it up. not hating, just curious, because i appreciate anyone who listens to anything besides radio rock or dubstep.

listen to some real hardcore. have heart, defeater, bane, the carrier, killing the dream, verse, etc.

i don't know, when i think hardcore, i think of skinny emo tight-clothes wearing 19 year olds with huge spacers.

and those queers who wave their fists around in the pit. why cant yall mosh like normal people?

but im probably just steriotyping, i dont really know hardcore that much. i like a lot of the sumerian bands.

this is the only hardcore band i actually have an album of, and i pretty much hate it.

it always bugs me when people get all music elitist and start bashing people because their suggestions aren't the exact genre they mentioned. as if they actually could define what the genre specifically entails anyway....


with that said, idk what the hell "hardcore" is defined as. but some of my favorites in the heavier genre/metalish genre are:

All That Remains
As I Lay Dying
Bullet For My Valentine
The Sorrow
Killswitch engage


some of those are metalcore....or most are maybe. who fuckin knows. they're probably "too mainstream" or something, i'll just wait for somebody to laugh at this post and say "lolzzz that's not liek reel metal d00d".

nah not really. mathcore-ish. listen to the sound of animals fighting, the number twelve looks like you, dillinger escape plan, protest the hero, or architects to name some off the top of my head. OH and the human abstract.

but really im not being trying to be the music elitist douche you describe but theyre all respectable bands, more metal though for sure. i feel like as peoples music taste buds change, it usually gets heavier. i used to love killswitch, im in their DVD at the palladium from like 2007 haha

yeah ive listend to both, and have seen ceremony a few times. Check out Alpha & Omega, Blood for Blood, warzone if your into older 80s-90s hardcore
