Anyone that votes for a third party canidate is making a big mistake. If you dont remember, voting for nader in 2000 got us into this trouble in the first place and assisted in getting bush into office. Although you may not support either of the canidates, if you want bush out then you vote for Kerry and if you dont want kerry to win you vote for bush. thats how it works in our two party democracy. no third party candidate will win an election anytime soon.

No, getting the popular vote doesn't mean he 'should've won'... well, I guess that depends on your perspective. Under the current system, the popular vote by no means dictates the winner. Which is odd, because in a true democracy... meh. Anyways, the 'Bush didn't win' argument is centered around a bunch of discounted votes (mostly African American) in Florida, which is kinda sketchy, and very difficult to conclusively prove.

Of course, it's impossible for a president to do absolutely NOTHING good, he has done a few things that are good, although right now I can't think of any. However, the way he handled foreign policies is horrible. A few examples:

-Managed to raise the feeling of anti-americanism to an unprecedented level.
-Raised the importation taxes on Canadian wood and european steel so much it ruined many of those companies.
-Declared an embargo on Canadian beef and maintains it even after it was proven that it was one isolated case. This has ruined the canadian beef industry.
-Has made no efforts to reconcile with other countries.
-Horribly handled the situation in Iraq. Horribly.

Etc. Etc. As of now, I can think of nothing good, other than that the economy has gone up. But everyone knows that tax cuts for the rich stimulates the economy for a short while, but if he does not take further measures, it will come down soon.

W is a great president. He stands up and makes decisions based upon what is right not what people like. Kerry and Clinton alike, always held 'focus groups' to determine whats next. You may argue till your blue in the face that Iraq was about oil, SO WHAT! Thats peanuts compared to the good that was done for the Iraqi people. No longer and hurds of people taken out into a field but into a ditch and fired upon until all were dead (this was all done for no apparent reason other than the fact that they were alive).

In the film it touts how the bin ladens were allowed to fly out of the country after all planes were grounded. Guess what, THATS RIGHT! Oh my gosh! Holy Cow! How can it be? That is totally factually correct. However, do you know who granted approval for that????? That little fact was left out of the movie. Its was..... Richard Clarke, sound familiar? Well it should, he was the guy who juts wrote the anti-bush book who was appt'ed during the CLINTON admin. 1.) Save thousands of people who are being innocently killed
2.) Play it cool, and keep your job.

Are you saying that a universal truth would not apply in this situation.

I know that universal trust is not a widely held belieft today (although it is by me), it can apply. Also, in digesting analysis, remeber that ever decision (postive, right, best, however you want to define it) has consequences for someone. Thats why we can not make decisions based upon what we think others might think of us. Simply b/c that clouds the trust (uhhh can you believe I said that word!!).

I'm for Kerry, but you see,you can't make sweeping claims about who acts rightly and wrongly without this kind of knowledge. For the record, saying that he was right because iraqi people aren't dying as much anymore would cause you to lose the argument rather badly.

There's no way you can make a political argument without some sort of philosophical platform to work from. What do you believe in? If you can't answer that, and defend it, then your opinion isn't worth anything.

I'm not, sadly. I might force my mom to drive down south and put her dual citizenship to good use, but I am not blessed with such an opportunity. And in short, I'd support mr. JFK for two reasons: the classic 'he's not Bush' (which is more of a comment on the latter's administration than the president himself), and for the former's ability to recognize real problem areas for his country. Terrorism is a problem, but it's not the ONLY problem, and JFK is willing to address health care issues, job loss, and stem cell research, which will save and improve more lives than any war on vague pretenses will. That being said, he actually tosses pride and stubbornness out the window when it comes to foreign policy, and admits that international help is needed to effectively combat any agression. The US going it alone simply isn't going to cut it, and that sort of reckless, foolish behaviour does more to harm than help. There are many, many other reasons why JFK needs his chance, but I'm tired of typing.

If McCain did get on the bill with Bush, though... well, at least GW would have something going for him.

Bush will WIN! You know why I say that? B/C with all the attacks on BUSH from Kerry(and other 527's) Kerry should be up 15 or 20%. I mean democrat 527's (google them if u dont know what they are) have outspent Republican 100M to 9M. Its really amazing that Kerry isnt up 15%. I mean even the liberal ABC's 'The note' says the election was Kerries to lose but is now 'kerries to try and win.' Sorry guys, but Bush will win. I will bet a pair of armada on that one.
