Educate yourselves. However you can, as much as you can. No matter who you are there is something you don't know, there is a viewpoint you haven't seen. I've seen several independent films and documentaries lately... that have been incredible. I just saw Control Room, a documentary on the Al Jazeera news channel in the middle east... and the shit theyve put up with. Even people who deal with them, after they were bombed... by us... citizens didn't want to interview with them out of fear, and the US military correspondant who was relaying media reports to them... was demoted, sent to a low level desk job, after simply dealing and conversing with the very open and amiable al jazeera reporters (many of whom have apparently come from the BBC)... so that's what i learned today, some tollerance. I see a lot of stupid and cruel shit go down on these boards and it scares me to think what some of you fuckers are going to turn out like... so, go learn something, please.

sim, the problem with the internet is theres no room for inflection, no feeling of speech, no room for sarcasm... so what sounds reasonable in my head comes out in type as pretty worthless.

rich, now i get to sounds stupid because it would sem half of the movies ive seen recently had absolutley no effect on me... i just have the recollectino of having seen movies. the one i saw before control room was 'what the bleep do we know' about theoretical quantum physics and string theory and all of that, its being released very limitedly so... you probably wont see it... its local so... yeah. but lots of towns, especially college towns have a theater dedicated to non-mainstrem, indy and documentary films so... yeah, find one... unless you werent serious... in which case... well... shit.

No, i was being serious. Its great to be open to new things and to have a flexible view point on things. (like we discussed recently in a thread in ski pimps forum) And learning/expanding your knowledge is something everyone should aspire to do. Its just a shame that given the medium of the internet, i wont be able to access them.
