Anyone have the Galaxy SII Skyrocket?

I played with it at the ATT store and I liked it, a lot. I am still heavily leaning iPhone 4S...but I am curious if anyone has any other thoughts. I use my phone for the internet (heavy), texting (medium), and calling (minimal). I am not super tech savvy, although I do use a lot of apps and stuff like that. I am coming from an iPhone 3GS, which I like a lot. The screen size appeals to me on the Galaxy. I like the reliability and the simplicity of the iPhone. I value the speed of a phone, although I am around wifi a lot, including work/school/home.

Any thoughts on the Galaxy?

please refrain from anti iPhone WWIII - inb4 smartphone fanboys

i have the regular galaxy s2 and i gotta say that it is amazing. i got it instead of the skyrocket just because the screen on that is too big. i have a couple friends who have the inspire and if youre just looking for a good phone for web/texting/calling then you might wanna get the it instead. the only restrictive thing about the galaxy s2s are that they are pretty expensive.

appreciate it, +k. I have an update, so the price difference between the 4S and the Skyrocket is only 50 bucks. I am concerned about the screen size, but that concern goes both ways. I would wear the phone on a belt clip at work, which means size is not an issue. I also like more screen for viewing area. However, I agree the pants pocket problem (thats what she said).

wait and get the htc rezound. it replaces thunderbolt, it's got a 4.3 inch screen, 1.5 ghz processor and it comes with beats earbuds, and the new version android looks sexy as fuck

4s is just a fad. how ACTUALLY uses Siri on a regular basis? No one.
You can take a gamble on the iPhone 5 but it might release when Jiblife does. Go with the Galaxy. Koreans know their shit.

Do you have a galaxy? I am satisfied with my 3GS and my wife has the 4 so I know I would be fine with the 4S. My thing is, will the galaxy meet my (probably guaranteed) expectations out of the 4S and exceed them, with no risk of me having a phone that ends up being unreliable, or unwieldy.

I switched from windows to a Mac a couple of years ago because honestly, the simplicity of the mac works much better for me. I don't get shit all over my computer fucking it up. I am just making sure that the galaxy won't end up like that for me.

Yo so I don't have any experience with the galaxy s2, but I had a droid x for a year and i fucking hated that thing. It had such a buggy operating system, and just shitty design, eventually I couldn't stand it anymore. I recently got the iPhone 4s and I cannot be any happier with my purchase. The phone does exactly what I need it do when I want, no headaches or anything like that it just works. Also siri is extremely useful when driving and for setting events and alarms. If your happy with 3GS I see no reason to switch, the iPhone 4s only improves on the functions you like already from 3GS, so if it works why change it?

Galaxy is probably one of the most reliable things if you knw what your doing. From the sound of it, you may be better off with the Iphone due to its user friendlyness. If you want raw power, get the Galaxy.

Ok well I think I feel a little better now. I was worried after playing with the galaxy that I would be missing out on something big.

this pretty much sums it up. i love the galaxy just because of the adjustablilty but you have to get use to everything first and if you dont want to do that, just go with the 4S because it is a quite good phone as well but you pay for the brand

Got the iPhone 4 a few months ago and its amazing. I can only imagine that the 4s is nothing but better. From the research I did before buying my phone, the entire droid OS is one big headache. Get the iPhone and be happy.

I got the original samsung galaxy s a year ago, and it is amazing. fast, lightweight, and it has a great screen. I say go for it

I'd say this, but OP is on ATT.

I picked up the Motorola Atrix last winter and I love it. Haven't played with the Galaxy yet, but I've heard nothing but good things about it. Also, the Galaxy I was really nice for modding and stuff, if you're into that.
