How can I clean my ski boots(shell)?

I bough some 2nd han boots and they have some stains on them, how do you go about cleaning ski boots?

Try using a tooth brush. The marks may not come out, it's only cosmetic but I would try that.

pants cover your boots/you will get them dirty the first day you go out.
