Last year they opened 12/4 but not this year :( theyre scheduled for the 16/17th right now but they could always open earlier if it stays cold

Talked to some of park crew over thanksgiving break. They said they are aiming for the 10th weather permitting. Latest would be the 17th.

I heard theres going to be a few. I know hidden valley will be open too but it won't have rails. and @dmarc, springs probably would have enough snow to open by saturday but they didn't want to risk not opening like showshoe did last weekend.

Would love to go and hit the springs in a week after finals, but I don't think it will be open by then. Bummered.
Also, does anyone know a 7 Springs rep for college students that can help get discounted season passes?

Pretty sure you just have to go to the pass office with proof you're a full-time student (currently taking 12 or more credits).

When do you guys think the alley will be fully open by?

Depends a lot on the weather and if it stays cold and rain free through the end of December and January. Mid January would be my best guess at this point.

im going up the week after christmas from like the 26-1 and was really hoping itd be open...

We can hope, but just for reference... Springs opened 12/4 last season and 12/24 was the first day the Alley was open. It takes a while to blow snow for the front face first and then worry about blowing snow on the back side and building features.

^Like he said. Alley is not the top priority and takes a lot of snow to put together.

They might be having the new urban park out to showcase it, but don't expect any booters are anything.
should just be some smaller rails and such until we get a cold streak or a legit storm.

Today is only the magic carpet. Tomorrow is one or two lifts but no park features. I'm going to snowshoe tomorrow, they have a park setup and theres a ton of us going from springs. If you see a springs sticker say hi

Not for a while unless we get a big storm or it stays cold enough to blow for a long time. At least a month.
