i have the 03-04 skogens and i have them mounted in the suggested place, iwant to put them closer to center or just back from center. how will remounting them efect the ski and the performance. especially on the skogens. thanks for the help.

^ No shit? You can redrill your skis 2-3 times before it will actually effect them. Just make sure the holes are far enough apart that they wont cave in on eachother.

if you re drill and you ski super hard the skis can get water logged and your bindings will rip out

I ski my park ski one inch baclk of center. I balance the ski on my index finger until it balances level. I then mark 1 inch back and use that as my mounting point...Its about 10cms forward of the original mounting point, but who cares. I notice such an improvement in my switch skiing...its fucking sick. My freeride ski i dont do as drastically but for riding park i would never go back to the original setting...

yeah i had a pair of mad trixx i re drilled 3 times, filled the hole's and i had no problemes with them..

mckeen man you are a silly silly bitch, if you plug the holes they wont stay pluged forever, especally if you ski hard, thats why ski companys void your warrenty if you drill holes because they know that the skisget fucked up when they get redrilled

Just fill the holes you will be fine. If riser plates and such still cover it up then epoxy will be fine if they are exposed behind the heel let filler epoxy dry seal it with superglue and throw a sticker or duct over it to prevent water.

I like center mounting, but I wouldn't plan on riding too much powder or trees or anything if you have them too far forward...

Unless you have some assfuck plugging your skis, the plugs will never come out. I had my lines plugged and remounted 3 years ago, and they're still fine.

If you take it to a shop they will use the right materials to plug up a hole, like epoxy and whatever else they use. Then, if that plug ever comes out you can take it back to the shop and they will fix it for you or give you new skis if they get fucked up. The point is, if you do it correctly or have somebody else do it correctly, a plug should never come out (Read: Take your skis to a shop and they'll do it correctly).

Ive redrilled heads up to 4 times and still skied them...The plugs never came out becuase they were done right. The ski that was drilled 4 times never got waterlogged, delammed, bent, or had any edges pull out. It even held up for the water ramps.
If you want a strong built ski, buy Head.

the ski tapers down towards the tails...will this affect the binding being mounted? I would think that the screw would go right through the ski.

it all depends on how the ski is built...if it has a good wood core with a big mounting area then your set...
buy some madtrix...you will fucking love them.
