Tip #1 - get a bucket, put it upside down in front of the toilet to rest your leg.
Tip #2 - keep an apple juice container next to your bed. I did this and my girlfriend hated it and refused to sleep with me but its whole lot easier than getting up to take a piss.
Tip #3 - find something productive to do. I don't mean watching movies...that'll get boring really quickly. Build a big fuckoff model plane or something. That way you wont get depressed sitting on the couch for 6 or 8 weeks.
Tip #4 - Get moving asap. Not stressful, but just get your movement back as soon as you can (once you're allowed to get out of the brace of course.
