Just got back from Lisbon, Portugal for the weekend to make an appearance for the second foreign premiere of the in their beautiful city. (got brutally jumped outside a club down by the waterfront early morning for a pre-party by some big ass North Afrikans, 4 broken bones in my cheek... real gay.. can't ski for a month... they didnt get my time piece though haha, fucking Afrikans).
Some big premieres at a couple other countries.... but ready to bring it back home already.
Anyways here's the trailer in HD for anyone interested.... the film has a lot of 'layers' to it, but this had to do in the meantime as a first trailer quickly in time for press and promotion purposes:
The world premiere was back in September at the Venice Film Festival, which we had not really expected it to be chosen to play in the Orizzonti lineup, consisting of new films from James Franco ("Sal") and Jonathan Demme (Silence of the Lambs etc..). Overall, it seemed to be well received by all three sold out huge audiences and has gotten some pretty decent press coverage/reviews so far. And first time in the history that "Newschoolers.com" somehow got a couple seconds of screen time at the oldest and perhaps the biggest/flashiest festival in the world. Most hyphy, ridiculous, intense 10 days of my life for sure.
Here are some pictures from the world premiere (courtesy of Gettyimages and AFP):
And here's a low quality "chopped and screwed" joke video of the main Venice international press conference (Same day we landed..... I hadn't slept in over 20 hours, was drunk and super tired....) definitely sound like an idiot, but it was difficult to be put on the spot and be articulate considering the cirumstances.. the Full quality, full length version is available all over online....:
blessup. if you don't have care, i dont care , dont need to hate. Trying to support, trying to share. bless.
And of course Photographic Memory is not for everyone, and was a rather experimental flick, not made with the motivation of money... which is why we are also working on pushing the Hollywood "SM2" release out before 2014. Several versions of a possible script are in progress and it is on the table at HBO as well.
some (sorta old) leaks:
