DR. NS: Fractured Spine

So i just found out i fractured my spine, which i did while on the tramps last Tuesday. They say ill be out for 6 weeks but i also got a Tylenol 3 prescription. Three questions: 1. Has anyone else fractured their spine and how long did it take to heal?? and 2. Can i smoke weed while taking Tylenol 3's? Thanks

I did. I have had back problems/pain ever since. Upper spine is twisted like a spiral staircase now. For the love of GOD, stay AWAY from activity for as long as they tell you. Go to PT, stretch, etc, etc, etc. If you're still hurting, don't do it.

I also did mine on a tramp and went back to doing everything too soon. I will be paying for it for the rest of my life. It's not a joke.

I would def smoke as well. Tylenol 3 fucking suck. Don't eat too many cause it's bad for your liver. Too bad you didn't get vics or oc's.

I fractured a couple vertebrae and had a hairline fractures running my whole femur. For once in my life they gave me good drugs though. My dad made me go to school after a few days, so I just ate a jumbo vic every once in a while and walked around school jesus high.

I fractured my L3 vertebrae falling in a non-dramatic way skiing. I was out of work (a decently physical job) for about 2 weeks, then got put back on light duty for another 6, making it 8 total weeks before I was back to normal. That was 4 years ago, and I still hurt sometimes. It will probably stay with you forever. However, you usually feel a lot better pretty quickly. I had Tylenol 3's as well, but I don't smoke so I can't attest to that.
