SO i was looking at getting fks140s but have heard that there toe piece is plastic wile the fks 180 toe pice is metal. My worry with the 180 toe pice is that it looks like it is holding on by a thread to the ski and it is 100$ more than the 140. Any help clarifying the diferences between the toe pieces is greatly apreciated
+k for advise
Oh and quick question does anyone know where i can ger armada stickers?
probably a good idea. but you really shouldn't be worried about the FKS 18 toepiece looking like it's "attached by a thread" haha. it's easily one of the most durable bindings and, while i see what you're saying about its appearance, it ain't gonna snap in half
How much do you weigh? I've had issues with plastic bindings in the past and now I will never have bindings with plastic in them ever again. I am not interested in breaking out of my binding if I stomp something huge. I think it's worth the extra $100 when you consider they will last longer and are more duriable. FKS 180's all the way and if your poor like me you could get the look version which are the exact same but don't have the sweet orange paint job.
While this makes sense, the DIN range on the FKS 180 is 10-18, which might be too high for the OP, even on its lowest setting. The last thing you want is an exploded knee because your DIN was too high.
More but it should be easy to find some for around 150, which is way less than a new pair of 140s. Only drawback is that if you want to put them on fatties, you have to do the bendy operation. It's no problem though, I fit some race brakes over hellbents.
I only wiegh 130. Plus i have hug feet wich meen huge bootsole leaghth dropping my din down to like 7.5 8 because i still charge pretty hard but icouldent get into a ten or 11 din. i wouldent feel comfortable doing that. I will probably look into the 155s great advise from everybody +k
I only weigh 125 and have big feet wich meen big boot sole o that drops my din down to like 6.5 but since im like a level 3/level 3+ skiier it brings it up to like 7.5 8. I calculatedd my din and even if i gro to be 200 lbs + i will only need a 12-13 din so i dont think i could even use the 180s. I will def. look into a pair of 150s. Great advise +k
