Full tilt flex?

what flex should i get? i ski aggressively and prefer a pretty stiff boot and will be half park half pow skiing. what do you guys think would be the right flex for me?

seriously, just get the 10 flex tongue AND the 4 flex. switch them out based on snow conditions. It's one of the sickest parts of Full tilt boots.

10 is super stiff. Pretty much just a board. 2 is super soft. Pretty much a noodle. Then in-betweenness are in-between. Pick what you think you would prefer

i ski like 60% park and 40% mountain and i have the konflict with an 8 tongue and i would never go any less than that. i skied the original booters with a 2 flex and died so many times so i got a 4 flex which i thought was stiff and gave me more control and when i got my 8 i was like WOW, you can actually control how your skis flex and not noodle out in your your boots.

get the 8.

the 10s are similar to a 110 flex regular boot. so there are definitely stiffer boots out there. but when would you ever even need the stiffness of a race boot? besides racing of course...

I have the First Chair, which comes with the 10.

It's a pretty stiff flex, isn't that forgiving if you land flat on some park features. I love it for charging though, gives me so much control.

I'm probably going to try out a #6 flex for a park tongue this year. I was going to last year, I just never got around to ordering it.

I have booters with a 4 and a 6. The 4 is very flexy, and the 6 is still flexy with a good stiffness

dont get the new booters. they arent a true 3 piece system like what traditional full tilts are known for. dont get any full tilts with the traditional buckle on the toe piece. all cables or no cables.

what if your feet arent toothpick-shaped enough to fit the 99mm last? Kind of stuck with the 102mm booters or high five.

by the way, the booters use different tongues, so you can only get a 4 and a 6 flex for them. They feel way stiffer than the original tongues though for some reason, so you could easily use a 6 anyway.

Then get a boot that isn't Full Tilt.

And if you're getting Hot Doggers, then you can easily just order a #10 flex tongue from your local shop/

If u have wider feet I recomend the dalbello boss. It has a 103 last and has a waaaaayyyyyyy better build quality and features the only thing full tilts r better for are weight and changeable tongues

Contact Full Tilt directly then if your shop isn't going to hear you out. Or find the closest Full Tilt dealer and request the tongues.

yep. absolutely. the only change from 2011 to 2012 was the graphics and the power strap.

Really? I am 160 lbs and the 6 flex is unbelievably soft, softest boot I have ever been in. Landing switch was impossible my first day in them. I can't imagine skiing in a 4 or a 2 is possible.

This thread proves that the flex of your boot has nothing to do with WHERE you ski on the mountain but how big of a person you are and strong of a skier you are. Two park skiers are exactly equally as skilled as one another, but one weighs 120 lbs and the other is 205 lbs. A number 6 tongue might be too stiff for the smaller skier yet way too soft for the larger skier.

Do not pick the flex of your boot based on where you ski on the mountain. Pick your flex based on how much you weigh, your ankle flexibility, and what you are personally used to. Match your boot to your foot/leg, not your ski.

the spk doesnt actually flex. It has rivets holding the cuff stationary. I kid you not.

^ just because it has rivots in the back does not mean it does not flex. The ghost, the impacts, the mission and pretty much every salomon boot is bolted through the cuff so the flex can be adjusted, but you would not say they do not flex. The SPK is just rivoted to be stronger.

Flex wise last years Koas was 100 which is prob a 8 tounge, the pro is 110 which is between a 8 and 10.

Get an 8. 6 Is still like a 80-90 flex. Stupid soft. I have descendant 6's and threw 8's in them and never looked back.
