File conversion for video editing?

I edit gopro footage in corel and it won't let me upload the video to youtube or vimeo because it says the file format is wrong. I attempt to switch the file format in Corel but it doesn't help. Do I need a program for file conversion or what?

If its not to big you might be able to convert it with zamzar just search it up on google

You need to "transcode," not "convert."

Download MPEGstreamclip from www.squared5.com and Google search some tutorials. It's the fastest/easiest way.
