Best carving mid fat all mountain rocker ski

So lately iv been looking for a solid new all mountain ski to pick up for east coast skiing. But the thing is so many of these type of skis now have some sort of rocker in them. I have only ridden traditional camber skis so idk what its like on rocker and im not sure if i can demo any. What would you all say is the best carving rockered ski out there? Or am i better off going with something more traditional camber

Well in my humble opinion the whole rocker thing is a bit of a fad and an obvious marketing ploy. The only place where rocker has the advantage is in the trees and in deeper conditions. If you like spending your time carving up the mountain on groomers then don' t bother with a mid fat rockered ski, get a carving ski.

Now if you spend the majority of your time in the trees (east coast style) then I can vouch for the Jeronimo. Check out Moment's El Dorado and great ice coast ski.

I already have carving skis that rip...but I am on 2009 watchlifes right now and they can hold an edge pretty well. On the east coast its no secret it gets tracked out fast and groomers are prett mandatory and i hate sliding around.

the moments were sick but coming off a ski with a 90mm waste traditional camber was looking to stay at 90 or move up a little bit. Would 100mm traditional camber be to much for east coast?

i wouldn't really say that 90 is mid-fat. at all.

if you are really looking for a mid-fat pow ski that can slay groomers you should seriously consider icelantic shamans. they don't have any rocker, but they legitimately carve circles around the mountain with a 110 width underfoot. plus they are sick in pow. not a bad ski to have in your quiver, especially on the east coast.

Hell yeah.....remember the slick parabolic marketing? Since then the sidecut has been tamed dramatically in most designs. Skis are getting longer and less dramatically cut nowadays....There is nothing wrong with rocker it has it' s purpose, and benefits. However it is not unreasonalble that the rocker trend will become less subtle

Volkl Bridge maybe? 95 underfoot, with slight rocker. I have the bridges from 3 years ago that had no tip rocker but they hold an edge well when you really get on em and will float in soft snow

4FRNT Turbo if you want a subtle rocker profile with camber underfoot and enough sidecut to get all shreddy.

MSP if you decide you don't want to buy into the rocker "fad"

Note - 6/7 of my skis all have at least early rise.

As long as you don't plan on riding switch freqently I'd suggest looking into these. Although I haven't personally ridden any yet, I have a pair of 183 tst's that I plan on using as my main all-mountain ski this winter. Large tip rocker to slay in pow and trees, yet it's only 102mm underfoot with camber so it won't be too big for harder snow and groomers. Seems to have a relatively stiff flex (compared to my Bacons at least) and they have normal tails to to help with turns and landings. Although there isn't a whole lot of reviews/opinions on them yet, I haven't heard a bad word about them

My Sir Francis Bacons from last year do everything pretty damn well. I'd assume this years do as well.
