Chronics=heavy

You won't notice it at your size for one and two it depends on how you define progression. If you mean hiking the same box or rail all day then yes, there are skis that are slightly lighter and smaller. But if by progression you mean going big off big booters and hitting the big boy features than the chronics will give you plenty of room to progress. They can handle the smaller jibs no problem but are wider underfoot and designed to hold up to a serious beatdown. So it all comes down to you. If you want to progress the smaller stuff than go A-bangers or something similar. If your ready to step-up and rock some of the bigger stuff, go step-ups or something similar. When your ready to tackle the big stuff.....you go chronics. Sure they're stiffer and a touch heavier, but they don't even blink on stuff that would destroy your typical park ski.

yah I didnt like How Big and stiff they were. they were not overly heavy but I didnt like them much at all.

You might enjoy them since your 180 Im only 130 so that might make a difference.

alright thanks...i probably have another thread on this i dont remember but how do they compare to ar7 for learning more rail and box tricks along with all mountain?
