im completely joking. correct me if im wrong, but hookit is like sponsorhouse, right? they give kids a discount, say their sponsored, and the kids get to brag to all their friends and the company gets free promotion.

If you guys want to get sponsored it takes a bit more work than entering a website to get something legit.

Try doing the following
Type out a resume (at least 500 words) About yourself, your skiing, your goals and how you can help the company.

Make a photopholio with a bunch of sick pics of your skiing

A season edit is also key something that the people who are reading your proposal will look at to see what type of rider you are.

Basically do this and email the companies you want to get sponsored by. If they like you then your in. If not then I guess its time to train a little harder and try again next season.

Yeah exactly getting a sponsor for street cred is just stupid. Getting a sponsor because you think you can help the company and in return they help you, is the real reason anyone should.

If it could lead to legitimate sponsorship, that would be one thing, but it doesn't. At all. It's not relevant, it's not legitimate. Nothing on Hookit matters at all. Even the legitimate pros with premium profiles don't do anything on there that people notice or care about. It's just about making money by preying on the naive stoke of young kids just getting into action sports. I realized within a week of joining (it was called Loopd back then) that it was just a thinly veiled ploy to get me to buy shit.
The fucks who run this site and came up with the idea are basically just turning action sports into a greedy business model. Fuck that.

I traded my monster sponsorship for verve. One of their reps came to the mountain and told me I was really good at skiing and he wanted to share a sick opportunity with me. I get wholesale energy drinks at the discounted wholesale price of 3 bucks a piece!

I plan to sell them and then by some more and make enough to buy new gear.

Also FTR, if you're good it will happen. Keep killing it in the park. Hit some contests and do well and get yourself out there. These days there are a shit ton of kids ripping though. Skiing and snowboarding are finally getting toward the same boat as skateboarding where everyone has skills.

No it isn't man. They're doing really big things and I'm excited to be apart of it.

Now that I left college I have so much more time to ski all while gaining valuable business experience that will help me through the rest of my life.

I'll be at rails2riches promoting the cause and networking while having a great time with everyone!
