That is cheap and I was wondering if the thinnest sheet would still work for teh top of my box. Thanks

so a sheet 1/16 thick will still work? How do I countersink the screws with that?

to countersink just get a bit that doeas it and use a dril df

make sure you build it in winter because the topsheets on boxes shrink in winter

Countersinking is simple, first just drill your hole for the screws, then once u have that take a bit thats the width of the screw head and drill a little bit in. Pretty basic stuff.

I think that they are in the same price range but with plexiglas i could probly get a thicker piece for the same price.

Resorts use half in thick teflon plastic like expensive cutting boards sealed to keep knives from digging in. I think one square foot is about 14 dollars you would have to put 200 bucks into it to make a fun box so just make it janky pvc or something because there are better things for 200 bucks like a phat half.

go to staples or office depot and get the sheets that protect carpets from chairs with wheels. there nice, hard, and cheap.

i was told a while ago when i asked this question, that plexiglass will work fine but it doesnt hold up nearly as well as say.. lexan. I got the impression that it would crack and stuff after hard usage, im not sure what 'hard usage' is though..
