What camera should I buy?

So I want to buy a video camera and I dont know which one to get? any ideas.I want it to have HD video??? any I want the camera to be under 500$ can you guys help me out.

I don't know much about just Video, but since the Canon T3i is out you might be able to get the T2i cheaper, they take HD video, and are all around awesome cameras.  I think it Takes 1080p video, and it has jacks for a mic if you need one other that the one already in it.

check out Nikons D3100 and 5100, both shoot HD video at up to 40 fps, and are under a few hundred bucks. like around $600 i think.
