Okay I'm going to start this off broad.

When you're editing to a song of that intensity you really need to be able to match it. Good over-audio editing has a flawless flow. Dubstep has so many hits that it's important to keep up. Quick cuts is the easiest way to start. When I say quick, I mean it. The point is, keep up with the music you choose when making an edit like this, otherwise it gets really boring really quickly. Which brings me to my next point.

Only use the best shots and cut down! This applies to almost everything, short and sweet leaves the audience craving more and brands you as someone who makes the audience want more, aka a good filmmaker. When your audience stops watching half way through because they got bored that doesn't leave a good lasting impression of your work on them. Be quick, decisive and assertive in your editing.

Skip the iMovie (or whatever intermediate editing software your using) title presets. Trust me, you can make something better, try. Cut down on the length and number of titles as well.

That's my standpoint from a broad perspective. Keep on doing it though! You've got a good start.

seemed very slow to me for being a racing and (fast racing) video. titles were way too long and i agree with the above post, make your own titles, be creative and make them shorter people are usually competent when it comes to reading and can read two lines faster than 4 seconds. song choices were kinda bad in my opinion, like has already been mentioned, if your gonna use dubstep, make the edits very quick. the shots with the change in depth of field were awful only because it was so slow.

so i could go on about the bad but to improve it i would suggest:

1. make your own titles and never use pre-sets cuz any editor will know where you got it and how unprofessional it looks

2. pick songs that flow with the content of your video, if your going to go with dubstep the cuts have to be quick and line up the cut with the audio! that is a huge turn off for a viewer when the shots don't match the sound.

3. don't include the sounds of the car unless you have a good mic to pick up the true thunderous sound instead of a crackly grumble...(except for shots of the car racing on track if thats how you want your edit to go)

4. do a little color correction and color grading, this will also make it more enjoyable to watch and look more professional.

I found it to be a little sluggish also with the dubstep which I'm currently working on fixing. Also the titles aren't preset's I just made some quick easy titles on Afteraffects.

i guess they just looked a little pre-setty ish, titles don't always have to be flashy tho sometimes a sleek title will do the trick but im anxious to see the improved version

I'll try to get the final version done asap but it may take awhile because of a busy school schedule and getting swamped with projects and exams.
