snowbird/alta- pure pow
brighton- nice mix between park/pow
park city- ONLY park
canyons- mostly park, i guess ok terrain but not much snow

Depends on what kind of skiing you want to do. Most of my friends are getting PC passes since they're a bunch of hoodrats doing hoodrat stuff, and that's where I'm getting a pass because A) I don't want to ski alone, and B) I can't do shit in the park and I want to fix that as much as I can. If it were solely up to me though, I like the Canyons best. It's big, there are never lines (PC gets more crowded), it has a bit of everything, and it's the shortest drive for me.

You'll have fun anywhere though!

I moved from the Midwest to Utah as a pure park rat. Got a job at Snowbird, and within a couple days, realized how mundane and boring park riding was compared to riding all-mountain. I rode over 100 days that year, and never once hit a rail that entire season.

the hate is 100% warranted, there are a ton of doucebags that ride at PC. With that said, it is undisputedly the best for park in the area

word on the street is little cottonwood canyon (snowbird/alta) gets more pow than big cottonwood (brighton/canyons/solitude), and i'm assuming if you're coming to utah looking for the best snow in the country (like i did), you're not looking for a park. sooo...snowbird! yeah!

What I think I'd do if I was in utah would be night pass to park city for park, and then regular pass to snowbird.

LCC and BCC get about the same amount of snow, sometimes alta/bird will get more than brighton, sometimes its the other way around.


PC for park, period. brighton and canyons parks are okay but like someone said before, neither of them are as good as PC.

one of my best days of skiing ever was at solitude.....soooo much snow, gnarly terrain, and no lift lines at all. but for park, pc, canyons, or brighton will probably be best. for terrain and pow alta/snowbird will probably work well. but if you are looking for awesome snow, gnarly terrain, and solitude, look no further than solitude!!

I know a few people that are at the U who go to brighton, but I don't think you can choose wrong with Utah resorts...

and canyons wasnt? the jumps didnt get decent until late season and it was impossible to keep speed through the whole park

ive only been to Powder Mountain..but it fucking dumps up there. But i love park, prolly because thats all i really get to ski cuz my home mountain is like 300 ft vertical, so i recomend PC dogg.

if you have a beacon, and shovel, it is rare that you dont have a good snow day at the bird

they have a bunch of back country gates that lead back into the resort which dont take long to hike

just make sure you do it w/ someone that has all that gear too
